Get a ‘poorly drawn’ portrait of your pet and help a good cause for Valentine’s Day

IDAHO FALLS — This Valentine’s Day, the Snake River Animal Shelter is providing “Poorly Drawn Pet Portraits” to anyone looking for an unforgettable gift.
Patrons can provide a photo of their pet to SRAS and they’ll receive a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork (or at least a good laugh) drawn by an SRAS employee or volunteer.
“You might get an extremely talented artist,” says Michelle Ziel-Dingman, Executive Director of the shelter. “But we’ll be honest…you’ll probably get someone who simply loves animals and has the art skills of a kindergartener. All funds will help support our no-kill animal shelter, though, and we’ll surely make you laugh!”
For $15, customers will receive an unframed portrait of their pet, or for $25, they’ll get a gift-wrapped portrait in a thrifty frame.
Anyone interested is asked to sign up and upload their pet photo by Feb. 10 here.
100% of the funds raised will benefit the homeless pets at Snake River Animal.
