REXBURG — Pony Express Car Wash is holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting Tuesday for its newest location in Rexburg.

The car wash is located at 545 North 2nd East and is the sixth Pony Express to open in eastern Idaho.

“We’re beyond thrilled to announce the opening of our newest location in Rexburg – just a few blocks from where we grew up,” said owner partner Kyle Benson. “We’ve received countless requests from old friends and acquaintances asking when we’d finally bring Pony Express to Rexburg, and we’re proud to say we’ve arrived.”

Benson and his two brothers, Travis and Mark, opened the first Pony Express in 2019 in Chubbuck. They have since expanded to Idaho Falls, Ammon, Pocatello, Blackfoot and now Rexburg. The drive-thru car washes are “custom-built for speed and efficiency,” according to Benson.

“We’ve also developed a unique water conservation program that sets Pony Express apart from other car washes in the industry,” Benson says. “This program allows us to wash vehicles using a lot of water while minimizing the use of freshwater — a vital resource in eastern Idaho. As native Eastern Idahoans, we understand the valuable commodity that our precious water is, and we’re committed to providing the highest quality wash while having a positive impact on the environment.”

A ribbon cutting will be held at the new Rexburg location at noon. More information about Pony Express can be found here.
