A HEART-STOPPING MOMENT — Tense footage of dozens of vehicles involved in a fog-related pileup on a bridge in China has gone viral.

The video was shared on AccuWeather’s Youtube channel on Feb. 4, 2025, and has almost 1.5 million views. Footage taken by someone on a highway in Zhengzhou, China — where the incident occurred — shows a massive pileup of cars all smashed together. Over 100 cars were reportedly involved.

“This multi-vehicle accident happened when visibility dropped during misty and foggy weather,” Jennifer Gray, a meteorologist for The Weather Channel, said.

While some people are seen exiting their cars and walking away from the dangerous scene, other bystanders are waving their hands in the air while yelling at the approaching cars to slow down.

However, their attempts to have the cars slow down, don’t work. Car after car continues to crash right into the pile of already damaged vehicles.

Footage of the aftermath shows people by their vehicles or on top of their vehicles looking at the chaos that ensued and the broken car pieces that were scattered across the road.

Gray mentioned some victims were injured and rushed to the hospital.
