PALISADES – Emergency responders rescued two people who fell through the ice at Palisades Reservoir Saturday.
It’s not clear what time it happened, but the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reports in a Facebook post the individuals were found on the upper end of Palisades near Alpine, Wyoming.
The pair, whose names and genders were not specified, were snowmobiling and their vehicles fell through the ice.
Deputies pulled them and their snow machines out. No one was hurt.
Authorities are reminding people to be careful when recreating on the ice.
“Ice and snow conditions are unpredictable this time of year. Always be prepared with proper gear, clothing, water and emergency supplies,” the BCSO reports.
