RIRIE — Ririe Elementary School is closed Wednesday and Thursday due to a broken boiler, and Ririe Junior-Senior High School will be closed Thursday to help local parents.

Superintendent Jeffrey S. Gee notified parents Tuesday with a letter saying the boiler at the elementary must be shut down and repaired because of an issue that requires immediate attention.

“Fortunately, with spring break just around the corner, we will have additional time to complete the necessary repairs,” Gee wrote. “We are optimistic that the heating system will be fully operational when students return to school.”

Gee said Ririe Junior-Senior High School is closed on Thursday to assist parents and staff members who need to care for their elementary-aged students at home.
