Driver killed, passenger hospitalized in rollover crash near Shelley

IDAHO FALLS – Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle fatality crash that occurred Saturday at 1:52 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 114 south of Idaho Falls.
A 2000 Mercury Cougar, occupied by two juveniles, was traveling northbound on I-15 when it drove into the median, rolled, and landed in the southbound lane of travel.

The passenger was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Police Department, Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
