The following is taken from a news release from the Blackfoot, Firth and Shelley Stakes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

BLACKFOOT – You are invited to bring your family to The Living Christ display that will feature events in Christ’s life, starting with his birth and finishing with his resurrection.

Three local stakes with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are hosting the open house in Blackfoot, Firth and Shelley April 14-20.

Those who attend will see a variety of pictures and artwork depicting Christ’s life and ministry. Come share with your family the short videos about his teachings.

Every year, Easter reminds us of the life, suffering and resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ. As we reflect on the upcoming Easter Sunday, we should pause to give thanks for his matchless life and infinite virtue of his atoning sacrifice. No one, other than Christ has had such a profound influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.

Begin by visiting the Nativity room as we celebrate his birth. You will visit the Miracles Room and learn how he used his divinity to work wonderful miracles.

Come learn about the Passover and how it reminded the children of Israel of the coming of the Messiah before seeing a depiction of the Last Supper and why the sacrament is symbolic of his broken body and his blood.

People of all faiths are welcome. There is no cost to attend.

The open house is happening at the Blackfoot South Stake Center at 900 Riverton Road from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It’s also available on Easter Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.

In Firth, it will be on display at the Basalt meetinghouse, 623 North 675 East. The open house will be on display at this location on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

It will also be available at a third location at the Shelley South Stake Center, 675 South Milton Avenue. The public can see the display Monday through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. On Easter Sunday, it will be open from 3 to 5 p.m.
