The Duck Race was a fundraiser for the Idaho Falls Greenbelt. Over 15,000 ducks, worth five dollars individually, were purchased by local residents.
The ducks were released from a dump truck bed into the Snake River. Local Residents gathered and watched to see which duck would cross the finish line first. The winning ducks received prizes.
