Rangers capture grizzly bear suspected of killing Yellowstone hiker
Published at | Updated atYELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Park rangers have caught a grizzly bear they think killed a man whose body was found Friday after he went hiking, according to Jackson Hole News & Guide.
Park officials told the newspaper, a trap that was set Friday caught an adult sow, but no cubs. The sow is being kept alive until it is confirmed as the attacker.
The name of the individual is being withheld pending family notification, but a news release including the name of the victim will be provided by noon on Aug. 10.
