POCATELLO — Officials in Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 have implemented controlled access at Highland High School to investigate a possible safety concern.
District spokeswoman Shelley Allen said the school is not under full lockdown, but that traffic is being controlled in and out of the building.
“When we get a tip we take it very seriously and we control access or lockdown accordingly,” she said. “We have to fully investigate any tip we receive.”
As the investigation is underway, school officials are not releasing details on the safety concern.
School Resource Officers are dealing with the safety concern, however, Pocatello Police Department spokeswoman Dianne Brush said no other officers are involved in the incident.
