Victims to take stand today in Briggs trial
Published at | Updated atREXBURG — The second day of the Brandon Briggs child abuse trial began in Madison County this morning.
Briggs is facing multiple charges related to sexual abuse of young boys in 2013 and 2014.
Madison County Prosecutor Sid Brown tells EastIdahoNews.com a child specialist is set to speak in court this morning. Afterward a victim and members of the victim’s family will take the stand.
During the first day of the trial yesterday, the court went through an extensive jury selection process. Six men and 7 women were finally chosen after a six hour selection process. The trial is expected to last at least three more days.
Briggs was present during the selection process, and showed little emotion during the proceedings.
