IDAHO FALLS — Six months ago today two-year-old DeOrr Kunz Jr. disappeared while camping with his family in Leadore.

There’s been no trace of the little blonde boy since July 10, 2015 and investigators haven’t named any suspects in connection to his disappearance.

In a Facebook message posted Sunday afternoon, Deorr’s father, DeOrr Kunz Sr, wrote:

“6 months ago today since the last time I seen my son my little boy 6 months since he stood next a picnic table and I heard his little voice and that was the last moment my life went from great to upside down… that little boy taught me how to be a man to love and care and happiness I miss my son every minute of everyday. I just want my amazing son back and my great life to continue daddy misses and loves you goobs.”

DeOrr’s family has hired a private investigator to look into the case. Philip Klein of Texas-based Klein Investigations says he plans to release information on DeOrr’s disappearance as early as tomorrow.

To help cover the costs of the private investigator, a dinner fundraiser and auction is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 16. Tickets are $10.00 if bought before the event and $15.00 at the door for remaining tickets. Click here to purchase tickets.

The fundraiser will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 635 Hemmert Avenue in Idaho Falls.
