13-year-old pedestrian killed in Bonneville County

BONNEVILLE COUNTY — A 13-year-old boy from the Shelley/Firth area was hit and killed by a vehicle in the 7000 block of South 45th West on Friday around 11:10 p.m.
The vehicle was traveling south when it struck the teen. He was with two other boys, and the dark clothing they were wearing was a factor, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies and Idaho Falls Ambulance responded, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two boys were not hurt and were returned to their parents. The driver, a man from the Shelley area, was not hurt either.
Names of those involved were not available Saturday morning pending notification of family members.
