In this edition of East Idaho Newsmakers, Nate Eaton speaks with the Matt Smith, the executive director of Operation Shield.
Operation Shield is a local non-profit organization dedicated to preventing, rescuing and treating victims of child sex trafficking. The group works with law enforcement, counselors and others throughout the region to address this growing issue.
In their conversation, Eaton and Smith talk about what’s being done to stop the problem, what parents need to know and how common sex trafficking and child exploitation is in east Idaho.
