A Feel Good Friday surprise for an 83-year-old who has spent his life helping others
Published atEastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore are teaming up every week to bring you some good news during Feel Good Friday!
We want to surprise people in our community with random acts of kindness and leave you feeling good.
We recently heard about an 83-year-old man named Dale Christensen who lives in Firth. Dale has dedicated his life to helping people and being a friend to all.
“His whole life has been about serving others,” says his son, Boyd Christensen.
After a snow storm, you will often find Dale shoveling sidewalks and driveways of others. In the summer, he spends his weekends hosting dozens of families on float trips in the beautiful kayaks that he builds every winter.
He shares his large garden and orchard with many friends in eastern Idaho and makes delicious homemade jam to give to families in the area. He’s been known to take between 8-10 homemade pies to families in need and offers free saxophone and guitar lessons to all.
Dale is an incredible person who deserves to be honored so we surprised him at his home with gift cards to a local restaurant that he can take and enjoy with his family.
