National Weather Service confirms tornado touched down in eastern Idaho

MORELAND — The National Weather Service confirms at least one tornado touched down Saturday in Bingham County.
The tornado was reported northwest of Moreland near the Taber area around 6:30 p.m.
“Social media report of debris swirl. Tumbleweeds and tree limbs lofted briefly in the area of 1400 W. and US 26,” the NWS report reads.
No damage was reported and no other information has been found to indicate more tornadoes in eastern Idaho.

NWS is classifying this tornado as an EF-0, which is considered light.
