You’re invited to fight human trafficking in eastern Idaho and around the world

REXBURG – Human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise on the planet. It holds approximately 40 million people in it’s grasp, including at least two million children, and the world doesn’t know.
Beginning with a documentary screening of “Operation Toussaint” on Friday, October 19 at Paramount 5 theater in Rexburg, members of the eastern Idaho community will be educated on this growing problem that affects members of our own communities, and will be given the tools and knowledge to help protect themselves and help to combat this problem, starting right here at home.

Following Friday’s documentary screenings at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. there will be a question and answer period conducted by Matt Osborne, Operation Underground Railroad Director of Special Projects and Tyler Schwab, Assistant Director of Aftercare.
On Saturday, October 20, a self-defense class entitled “Streetwise: Avoid, Evade, Counter” will be held at Madison Junior High School. This course will focus on the importance of personal security and awareness in everyday life by incorporating the same tools and tactics taught to the CIA and to O.U.R. operators.
“Bringing Light to the Darkness: An Evening with Operation Underground Railroad” will be held at the Rexburg Tabernacle that evening, at 7 p.m. Attendees will learn more about O.U.R.’s process from rescue to rehabilitation and what you can do to help in the fight against human trafficking.
