IDAHO FALLS — The start of a New Year is a great reminder for people to check in on their heart health. As part of an annual effort, EIRMC is offering Healthy Heart Screenings to the community.
For $20, adults can have their blood drawn and tested for total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglyceride and blood glucose levels. These tests can indicate your risk factors for heart disease. Last year, nearly 400 people took advantage of this screening.
Blood draws start this week and are available Jan. 24, 25, 31, and Feb. 1 from 7 – 9 a.m. each morning in the EIRMC Medical Office Building Lobby. No appointment is needed, but participants will need to fast for 10 hours prior to their blood being drawn.
Results will be available at the EIRMC Heart and Health Fair, on February 16th, where participants will be able to speak with a cardiac registered nurse one-on-one about their results. Attendees will also be able to take advantage of several other free health screenings and speak with various health care professionals.
