Man rushed to hospital after vehicle rolls, bursts into flames
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — A man was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after his vehicle flipped on Interstate 15 and started on fire.
Idaho State Police and the Idaho Falls Fire Department were called to the southbound lanes of the interstate near the Idaho Falls Regional Airport around 7:40 p.m.
An airport fire crew responded with a firetruck and began extinguishing the blaze from inside the airport perimeter, according to an IFFD Facebook post. Two ambulances, two engines, a ladder truck and a battalion chief were also on scene.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Nobody else was in his vehicle. His name has not been released.
The southbound lanes of I-15 were closed while police investigated the cause of the crash.
