UPDATE: Weapons call leads to large police response in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — A large number of officers rushed to an Idaho Falls home after the report of a disturbance with a weapon Wednesday night.
The Idaho Falls Police Department received the call around 5:40 p.m. to the 100 block of 14th Street. According to IFPD spokeswoman Jessica Clements, because of the nature of the report, a large number of officers responded.
One person is in custody on an unrelated warrant, but no other arrests have been made, police say.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
Clements says police have no further information to release at this time.

IDAHO FALLS — Police vehicles are in the area near South Boulevard and 14th Street.
Idaho Falls officers were called to the area around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, and police are not saying why.
At least half a dozen police cars and an Idaho Falls Fire Department ambulance are at the scene.
Police spokeswoman Jessica Clements says officers will remain there “for at least some time.”
“There is minor traffic disruption in the area,” she said. “We would ask people to avoid the area for the time being while officers work through the situation, but we do not believe there is danger to the general public at this time stemming from this situation.”
