Wind chill warning issued for parts of eastern Idaho until Wednesday morning
Published at | Updated atPOCATELLO — The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning for part of eastern Idaho that remains in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The areas in the warning include Mud Lake, INL, Craters of the Moon, Idaho Falls, Rexburg, St. Anthony, Dubois, Spencer, Edie School and Small.
Dangerously cold wind chills of 20 to 30 degrees below zero are anticipated, according to NWS, and the weather could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Eastern Idaho has seen record-breaking low temperatures since Sunday and many school districts have canceled classes due to the bone-chilling weather.
