Jimmie Keith Mays

Jimmie Keith Mays, 48, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at his home in Arco, Idaho from a sudden illness.

He was born December 23, 1974, to Dean and Marcheta Waymire Mays. Jimmie lived in Howe, Idaho with his parents and attended grade school, then Jr. High and his freshman year in Arco, Idaho. His sophomore year he transferred to West Jefferson High School in Terreton, Idaho. He loved West Jeff and did well there, graduating in 1993. He then continued his education at CSI where he studied and received a Commercial Arts Degree. Later he received his Bachelor of Visual Arts at Boise State University.

On August 18, 2007, he married Mary Maynard. They were later divorced.

They had four children: Henry, Katherine, Audrey, and Jensen. They were his pride and joy.

He moved back to Arco and was employed at the Lost Rivers Hospital where he had many friends and could get his kids every chance that he could. They were everything to him. He was sure proud of them.

Jimmie is survived by his parents, Dean and Marcheta Mays; his children, Henry, Katherine, Audrey, and Jensen and their mother Mary; brothers, Chad (Bethanie), Neil Mays of Howe, Idaho, and a sister Aimee (Wayne) Mowery; nieces, Lola, Ashley, Amanda, Marcheta May, and nephews, Cole, Ridge, and Jayden.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2023, at 12, Noon at the Howe Community Center in Howe, Idaho. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93 and for one hour prior to the service at the center. Interment will be in the Howe, Cemetery.
