Shane Egan

1971 ~ 2023

Shane Egan, 52, passed away on September 2, 2023 as a result of an off-road UTV accident. He was doing what he loved, with people he adored, in a place he called his backyard (Manti La-Sal Mountains). Shane was born in February of 1971 to Roger and LaDean Egan. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mount Airy, Maryland and Kaysville, Utah; where he graduated as a Davis Dart. He attended the Chrysler Automotive Program through Weber State and went on to open his own automotive repair shop in Kaysville, which was one of his many dreams.

He married Donna Hendrickson in the winter of 1995 in the Bountiful, Utah Temple. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Emma, Olivia, and Grace and made their home in Kaysville, Utah. Shane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved working with the youth and helping with the outdoor adventures. He was an Eagle Scout and used his knowledge to bless many. He loved his family and friends, his dog Welby and being outdoors. His greatest passion was snowmobiling and enjoyed off-roading until the snow would fly again. He would do the snow dance all summer long to encourage a good winter. He enjoyed spending time riding in beautiful areas, seeing the world and adventuring in some of his favorite places; Island Park and Manti.

Shane is survived by his loving wife, Donna, his three daughters and sons-in-laws; Emma and Dax Stringham, Olivia and Lance Packer, and Grace and Joseph Kraemer, his parents Roger and LaDean Egan, and his siblings, nieces, and nephews; Tisha, Ashley, Howie, Katie, Zoe, Xander, Parker and Emily.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Fairfield Ward Chapel, 1085 N 50 East, Kaysville, Utah. The family will visit with friends at the Chapel Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday prior to services at the church from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Kaysville City Cemetery.

Shane was a good man with a good heart and a friend to many; we will miss him so very much
