KING OF HALLOWEEN? — While trick-or-treating today, keep an eye out for “Lewis” — a new Halloween decoration that quickly turned into an internet sensation.

What is the decoration? It’s an 8-foot-tall pumpkin Halloween ghoul that talks and lights up. When in stock, it can be bought at Target for $180, but as of Oct. 9, the item was completely sold out.

The decoration went viral after a California woman named Shannon Murphy, who is believed to have posted the first viral video of Lewis, shared her video of the “king of Halloween” on TikTok.

“I am not a jack-o-lantern. My name is Lewis,” the decoration is heard saying in Murphy’s video posted on Sept. 26.

“We heard him say (that) and it was so shocking how strange it was,” she told Good Morning America.

Another phrase Lewis says is, “With a crooked smile and a glowing eye, I see all your tricks from way up high.”

Murphy says she took the video of Lewis to share it with her friends and family, and is shocked it blew up on social media. At the time she spoke with GMA, she mentioned her video had over 2 million views.

“My phone has been going off nonstop with notifications,” Murphy explained. “I’ve had to silence the notifications on it.”

If that’s not crazy enough, the #MyNameIsLewis has had 21.7 million global views on TikTok as of Oct. 6, according to GMA.

“He is the Halloween superstar we never knew we needed until now,” the news outlet stated.
