Karen Adele Fullmer, 70, of Ammon, passed away December 3, 2023, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and her loving family.

Karen was born April 12, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Wallace David Hanson and Mary Moulton Hanson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho, California, and North Carolina, and graduated from Madison High School. She also attended Rick’s College where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

On May 25, 1973, she married Michael Fred Fullmer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Karen and Mike made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Karen worked as a nurse for Madison Memorial Hospital and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano and the organ, sewing, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her husband, Mike Fullmer of Ammon, ID; son, Adam (Rachel) Fullmer of Ammon, ID; son, Jeremy (Rachel) Fullmer of Idaho Falls; son, Brett (Selena) Fullmer of Idaho Falls; son, Jacob Fullmer of Ammon; son, Darin (Kylie) Fullmer of Preston, ID; son, Joshua (Jordyn) Fullmer of Idaho Falls; sisters, Gail (David) Teerlink of ID, Rhonda (Doug) Kingsford of UT, and Jeri (Casey) Hansen of AZ; and 24 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Mary Hanson, and brother, Larren Hanson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Ammon 26th Ward, 1100 Tiebreaker, with Bishop Brian Nelson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
