Claudia Mae Campbell (Big Momma)

Claudia Campbell, 74, of Idaho Falls passed away peacefully January 1st, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Claudia was born May 16th, 1949 in Emmett Idaho to George and Bobby Ledelle. She grew up in Emmett ID graduating from high school and continued her education at Boise State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in education and art.

Claudia started her art teaching career at O.E. Bell Jr. High and later moved to Clair E. Gale Jr. High she taught art for 34 years and retired in 2003. She loved her students and left many positive impacts on their lives.

On December 31st, 1981 she married Allen Campbell of Idaho Falls and from this union she was blessed with an instant family two sons and three daughters who she treated as her own. She was a wonderful wife and mother but she owned the title Grandma and Nana she loved her grandkids and great grandkids immensely.

Claudia loved camping and fishing with her family and friends. After retirement Claudia and Allen would spend many winters in Yuma Az where they were met by many friends and acquaintances.

Claudia is survived by her husband Allen Michelle Campbell of Clearfield Ut, Jonnie Wilson of Citrus Heights Ca, Ronnie (Jennifer) Campbell of Idaho Falls, ID, Jim Campbell of Boise ID and Joann Shellenberger of Sacramento CA. 13 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Allen Ledelle and grandson Brad Wilson.

As per Claudia’s request there will be no services “toast a margarita and remember the good times”

The family would like to thank granddaughter Alicia Truster you took so good care of grandma in her final months a trait only she could have taught you.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Jason Dalling and the staff at Mountain View Hospital

Your compassion and care for Claudia means so much to us. You are the best of the best!

Claudia will be cremated and ashes will be spread at a later date.
