Sheila Beth (Prince) Knight, age 60, of Driggs, Teton County, Idaho. Passed away on July 10, 2024 from MS. She passed peacefully with her husband and children surrounding her.

Sheila was born on March 11,1964 in Denver, Colorado, the 13th and youngest child of the late Douglas Fletcher Prince and Beth Ola Gubler.

As a young child Sheila’s best friend was her handicapped brother, Danny. Sheila loved to race her companions and earned the nickname, Cheetah. In her early teen years while living in Texas Sheila enjoyed horseback riding, and swimming in the reservoir. Sheila loved to dance, she was a talented ballerina and on the high school drill team.

Sheila graduated from high school in 1982 and went on to Ricks College to pursue a music education.

Sheila married Brent Arlin Knight on June 10, 1982 in the Jordan River, Utah, Temple. They were introduced while Brent served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Houston Texas. After completing his mission, Brent went back to Texas to ask for Sheila’s hand in marriage. He told her, all he had to offer was his love and a sage brush in Idaho. Sheila had fallen in love with Brent from the moment she first saw him and joyfully accepted his offer.

Brent and Sheila eventually settled in Teton Valley where they raised their children. What Sheila loved most was family time. Whenever Brent planned a trip in the mountains, getting all 7 children out there was no small feat. Sheila’s food preparations and hard work to carry in a baby on her back made it possible for the whole family to enjoy these outdoor adventures together.

Brent and Sheila were married for 42 years. Sheila was a light to all around her, an unflinching example of faith and service and the loving mother of 8 children.

Sheila is proceeded in death by her son Spencer, and granddaughter Edith, her father Douglas and mother Beth, her sisters Peggy, and Gwendolyn and by her brothers Steven, Danny, and Donald. Sheila is survived by her husband Brent and 7 children Beth (Justin) Avenius, Sheena (Mark) Mckenna, Leanna (Josh) Balleza, James (Sydney) Knight, Arlin (Angela) Knight, Thomas, and Alex, as well as 16 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Tetonia LDS Chapel, (209 S. Main St. Tetonia, ID 83452) on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm. The family will meet with friends on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and again on Monday prior to services from 12:30 to 1:45 pm, both at the church. Interment will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
