Question:
How can I access my child’s immunization records?
Answer:
In today’s digital age, managing your child’s health records can sometimes feel like navigating a maze of paperwork and appointments. From doctor’s visits to school requirements, keeping track of immunizations is crucial yet often challenging. However, there’s a solution, Docket® , an innovative app designed to simplify the way you manage your child’s immunization records.
Docket was developed with convenience and accessibility in mind. It allows you to securely store and manage your child’s immunization records directly from your smartphone or tablet. Gone are the days of rifling through drawers for scattered papers or relying solely on memory to recall vaccination dates.
With Docket, you can instantly check whether your child’s immunizations are up to date and access the records for schools, sports, a new healthcare provider, daycare etc. This feature is invaluable for busy parents juggling multiple responsibilities. Once you’ve downloaded the app and created an account, you can easily access your child’s immunization history at any time, from anywhere. This means no more frantic searches for that crumpled vaccination card right before a school registration deadline or a doctor’s appointment.
UsingDocket is straightforward. Most medical offices in Idaho export their patient immunization records to IRIS (Immunization Reminder Information System). Docket searches IRIS using basic demographic information (name, date of birth, sex and phone number) to display immunization record information on a mobile device. The app displays vaccination history to anyone with a record in IRIS whose identity has been verified. You can also scan or manually input your child’s immunization records into the app. Docket will send you reminders when vaccinations are approaching their due dates. This proactive approach ensures that you stay on top of your child’s healthcare needs without unnecessary stress or oversight.
Anyone at least 18 years of age with a vaccine record in IRIS can use the Docket® app to review their own immunization record or to review the immunization record of someone for whom they are the parent/legal guardian or authorized personal representative, usually for a minor child or vulnerable adult.
By providing easy access to immunization records, reminders, and secure storage, Docket empowers you to stay informed and proactive about your child’s healthcare needs.
