2 rushed to hospital after crash involving group of motorcycles

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

CANYON COUNTY — Idaho State Police are investigating a four-vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday at 11:19 a.m., at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Pump Road in Canyon County.

A 2015 Honda Accord, was traveling eastbound on Lake Shore Drive. A group of motorcycles were traveling westbound on Lake Shore Drive when a white 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle attempted to catch up with the other motorcyclists.

The motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lanes and side-swiped the Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda Accord swerved into the westbound lanes and struck a maroon 2010 Victory motorcycle head-on. A black 2023 Can-AM Ryker, driven by a 49-year-old from Nampa, then struck the Honda Accord. All vehicles came to rest at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Pump Road.

The driver of the Accord, a 47-year-old woman from Highlands, California, was wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the Victory motorcycle, a 33-year-old woman from North Platte, Nebraska, was transported via air ambulance to a hospital. The driver of the Harley Davidson, a 34-year-old woman from Boise, was transported via ground ambulance to a hospital.

The intersection was closed for about three hours.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
