Jeffery Frank Harrigfeld, 65, of Ashton died September 26, 2024. He was born February 9, 1959 in Ashton to Fritz and Frankie Harrigfeld; the fourth of six children.

Jeff attended Ashton Elementary and North Fremont High School, graduating in 1977. He was a lover of all sports, but especially enjoyed football, wrestling, and skiing. He often said that he felt gipped if he didn’t spend at least 150 days a year on the slopes. He joined the National Guard in 1978, completing his basic training at Fort Leonardwood, MO.

On December 16, 1987, Jeff married Mo-Nee Knapp after meeting each other in a potato field. They have two children who they raised in Ashton. His greatest joy was his family and he was the dad who never missed a game. He told people that he “didn’t do nice and was untrainable” but all his friends knew he was the kindest man you could ever meet.

Jeff loved farming and ranching. He was outstanding in his field. He worked alongside his dad for his entire life. He was involved with the Farmers Owned Ditch Company, Squirrel Meadows Cattle Association, and the Fremont Madison Cattle Association.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Mo-Nee; his children, Jesse (Rachell McCurley-Harrigfeld), Kathryn (Kaylor) Miller; grandchildren, Jackson Harrigfeld and Jade Miller; two sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Ashton 4th Ward Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion at the Pineview Cemetery.
