Mary Carol Munns, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medial Center in Idaho Falls, Id.

Mary was born to Rutha Marie Carr Bagley and Cletus Orville Bagley on December 13th, 1937. She was the 2nd child of 4 children.

She spent her younger years growing up in Illinois before her family migrated to Idaho. It was at a high school basketball game in Sugar City that she met the love of her life, Lynn Dale Munns.

Lynn and Mary were married in Sugar City, Id on September 21st, 1956. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, Id. LDS temple. Although they lived in various places and different times, they eventually were able to settle in their golden years on the Art Munns homestead in Lyman (Rexburg), Id. Mary was a devoted wife and wonderful mother to 5 children. She served quietly in many of her LDS church callings and gave her time freely, serving in the Young Women’s presidency, the Relief Society presidency, the scouting program and teaching Sunday School to the 6–7-year-olds with Lynn, which was one of her favorite callings. She was always supporting Lynn, not only with their farm & cattle operations, but she was the backbone for him during his endeavors with the Fremont-Madison Cattleman’s Association, serving as president of the cattlewomen’s chapter. She supported him in the Upper Valley Draft Horse Association, serving as secretary as well as many other opportunities that she had to offer service.

She loved her family and spent immeasurable hours, days and years taking care of not only her husband and children, but neighbors, friends and animals alike. She became a surrogate mom to countless friends of her own children that needed the support and love of a mother figure in their lives.

She loved gardening and crafting of all kinds, but her love of quilting was her ultimate hobby. All of her children and grandchildren have the pleasure of owning one of her quilted treasures, which was her favorite gifts to give for weddings, graduations or Christmas.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn Dale Munns; children, Mary-Lynn (Mike) Couch, Roy Brett Munns, SueAnn (John) Keller, all of Rigby, Id; Cody Joe (Ashley) Munns of Rexburg, Id; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Ruthie Jones, of Ava, Illinois and brother, James R. Kilpatrick of Rexburg, Id.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Tope Russell; her beloved son, Arthur Lynn Munns and 4 grandchildren, Gene Andrew Sara, Cheyenne Russell Sara, Cody Couch and Brandon Dale Wood.
