Bart Quayle wins race for Fremont County Sheriff

ST. ANTHONY – Republican Bart Quayle won in a landslide to become the next Fremont County Sheriff.
Quayle, the chief deputy in Fremont County, earned 87% of the vote for a total of 5,785 votes against his opponent, Mark Byerhof, who had 13% of the vote for a total of 876 votes.
He will succeed Len Humphries, who has served 16 years in office, before retiring. The position is a 4-year term.
“Thanks for the support,” Quayle said. “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.”
