Naomi Greener, age 90, of Rigby, Idaho passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, at the Homestead Assisted Living Center in St. Anthony, Idaho.
She was born to Curtis Gilbert and Rosa Elizabeth (Hale) Loveless on May 1, 1934, in Salmon, Idaho. Her family eventually moved to Southern Idaho where she was raised in Burley with her 8 siblings and her parents, whom she adored.
Naomi graduated from Burley High School and then continued her education in Nursing at CSI and ISU where she received a Bachelor’s degree. She spent her life helping sick people feel better and serving their families.
Naomi married Byron (Barney) G. Greener on August 6, 1950 in Elko, NV. They lived in Burley, Idaho where they spent the next 46 years together until his passing on March 1, 1997. On April 6, 2003 she married Raymond Aubrey Cone, the love of her life. They were able to spend 6 wonderful years together living in Burley, Idaho and being snowbirds in Quartzsite, AZ before he passed away on July 13, 2009.
Naomi’s greatest joy was her family. She spent so much of her time traveling to multiple sporting events, dance classes, and art shows to watch her kids and grandkids perform. During family gatherings you could always find her in a corner with a number of the kids and grandkids putting together a puzzle and having a conversation. One of her favorite events she looked forward to each year was the Loveless Family Reunion. She took so much pride in her family and loved being with them. She was also very willing each fall with helping her family make jams, freezer corn, and processing apples into dried slices, apple sauce, and pie filling. Throughout her life, Naomi loved to travel around the world with her friends. She visited all 50 states and traveled to all but 2 continents. She reveled in trying new things and living new experiences.
She and Barney had two children Kevin (Cami) Greener of Rigby, ID, and Beth Cooper of Albion, ID. She had 8 grandchildren, Wesley (Samantha) Cooper of Kennewick, WA, Ryann (Justin) Warren of Las Vegas, NV, Brooke (Jason) Webb of Raft River, ID, Austin (Nika) Cantrell of Kennewick, WA, Scott (Ivy) Greener of Grand Junction, CO, and Tyler (Laura) Greener of Nampa, ID. She also knew and adored her 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
During her first marriage, she inherited 6 step children Donald (Delma), DeVon, Delano (Mary) , Dale (Venda), Karen, and Dennis (Peggy) along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Naomi was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in various positions. Her beliefs guided her life and brought comfort when times were difficult. She will be remembered for her spunky spirit, and generosity and will be deeply missed by her family.
