Susan Sandra Robinson, 76, of Idaho Falls passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Susan was born August 29, 1948, to Ted and Marcella Hillman in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Known for her loving nature and ability to make friends wherever she went, Susan left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around her.

Growing up on a farm surrounded by the beauty of nature, an array of horses, and farm animals, Susan developed a deep love for animals that would stay with her throughout her life. Among her greatest passions were the quarter horses she raised and trained with her family. She became an accomplished rider. Her remarkable skills in the saddle not only earned her accolades but also cemented her reputation as an extraordinary cowgirl. Those early years instilled in her values of hard work and resilience; qualities she carried into adulthood.

She married Craig Keele, and together they welcomed two sons, Clint and Kent Keele. Susan’s love for her boys was profound and unwavering, a defining aspect of her life. Susan dedicated 13 years to nurturing young minds through her in-home daycare, fostering a warm and welcoming environment for the children she cared for.

After her marriage to Craig ended, Susan later found love again with Steve Robinson. The couple settled in Ucon, embracing farm life once more. Though her marriage to Steve also ended, Susan’s love for her farm and animals never wavered. She also contributed her talents to Smiths and Fred Meyers, where her kindness and hardworking spirit were deeply valued.

Susan is survived by her loving sons, Clint (Alison) Keele and Kent (Jacque) Keele; she was a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren, Justin Keele, Karli Keele (Billy) Galloway, Ashtyn (Rhett) Keele, Taylor (Malorie) Jackson, Grayson Keele, Cole Keele, Brynlee Keele, and Oliver Keele; and 3 great-grandchildren, Josie Jackson, Quincy Jackson, and Truett Galloway, who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Marcella Hillman and her two brothers, Jimmy and Billy Hillman.

Services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.

Susan’s legacy will continue through the memories she leaves behind and the lives she touched with her warm and caring spirit.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
