Robert Don “Bob” Sellers Sr., 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 17, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was under the care of Brio Home Health and Hospice.

Bob was born May 20, 1947, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Lucas Joseph Sellers and Mary Jean Sellers Meppen. He grew up and attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Firth High School. He also attended DeVry University and obtained his Associates Degree from ISU.

On June 29, 1968, he married Carolann Marie Scanlan in Chicago, Ilinois. Bob and Carol made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Robert worked as an Administrative Assistant for INL.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing (especially with his son Robbie), playing computer games, and spending time with his grand and great grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carolann Marie Sellers of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kim (Bruce) Burtenshaw of Maui, HI; son, Robbie (Windy) Sellers of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jaime (Dave) Platt of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Mary Jo Rodgers of Reno, NV; brother, Reggie (Becky) Sellers of Boise, ID; sister, Valerie (Bill) Cobabe of South Jordan, UT; brother, Monty Sellers of Rigby, ID; brother, Tony (Dline) Sellers of West Valley, UT; 5 grandchildren, Taylor (Ben), Zachary “Zack”, Sketch (Chris), Alex, and Abby; and 2 great grandchildren, Noah, Josie, and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lucas Joseph Sellers; step mother; Erna Sellers; mother, Mary Jean Sellers Meppen; and step father, Deloy “Mep” Meppen.

A service will be held 6 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends and family from 5 – 5:45 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Development Workshop, Inc. in Idaho Falls.
