The following is a news release from the City of Ammon.

AMMON — Beginning Monday, Nov. 25, Curlew Drive between 17th and Sawtooth Street will be closed until Wednesday, Nov. 27 to prepare for changes to traffic patterns. The intersection of Curlew Drive and 17th Street will have traffic restrictions between Monday and Wednesday as adjustments to lanes and traffic signals are made.

When the roadway reopens, there will be no access to southbound Curlew Drive from 17th Street.

Only vehicles traveling north toward Walmart will be permitted.

In addition to the Curlew Drive change, access on Eagle Road at the intersection with Salmon Street will be restricted to southbound traffic only. There will be no northbound access on Eagle Road toward 17th Street.

This change is being made based on the impact of an overwhelming amount of non-local traffic using the small neighborhood streets for access to businesses.

Bonneville County Sheriff Deputies will be in the area monitoring the new traffic patterns.

Please drive with caution and respect all road signs.
