POST FALLS — The Idaho State Police continues investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Nov. 19 at the intersection of SH41 and W Prairie Ave in Post Falls.

ISP troopers are seeking additional witnesses to this incident. Anyone in the area between 6:30 and 7 p.m. who witnessed the crash, anyone with information about the crash, or anyone possessing dashcam footage of the intersection during or shortly before the incident is asked to contact Trooper Whitt at (208) 209-8620.

Preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 6:40 p.m., a 75-year-old man from Cocolalla, driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound on SH41, failed to stop for a red light at the W Prairie Ave intersection. The Chevrolet struck a Toyota Prius driven by a 56-year-old Coeur d’Alene man traveling west on W. Prairie Ave.

The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Prius was also transported by ground ambulance but later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
