Rigby City Library Christmas Festival to kick off its 10th anniversary
Published atRIGBY — The Rigby City Library is about to kick off its 10th annual Christmas Festival.
Every year, the library displays and auctions off decorated Christmas trees and wreaths to celebrate the season and raise funds for the library.
This year, businesses, families and individuals have donated 16 decorated Christmas trees of varying heights and 15 decorated wreaths.
During the festival, patrons can make bids for trees and wreaths in a silent auction. The library will contact the highest bids on the last day of the festival.
In addition to bids, patrons can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 40 raffle items. Several Christmas Festival Committee members are donating baked goods for purchase throughout the week, as well.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will support the children and adult programming at the library.
“It’s a great way to meet different people from the community because it’s Christmas time and they’re always so excited to see what we have at the festival,” said Robin Adams, the Rigby City Library assistant director.
The Christmas Festival will run from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
