A local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.

Every day, from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and today we are visiting a woman named Jennelle.

She was in a tragic accident in 2022 and flown from Idaho Falls to Salt Lake City. She suffered broken ribs, a broken femur, both of her carotid arteries were severed, and she suffered multiple mini strokes. She spent over 100 days in a rehabilitation center in Utah, during which she made several visits to the University of Utah Hospital due to serious infections.

After returning home to Idaho, the rod they put in her femur became infected and had to be removed and replaced. This past March, she had another surgery on her right femur followed up by more than a month of rehab.

Jennelle is in the process of receiving extensive dental care due to the crash, but she can’t complete the treatment because she can’t afford it. She can’t work and is on medical disability.

Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to visit Jennelle with an early Christmas gift. Check out the video in the player above.
