Deputies responded to a residence on Silkwood Circle just after 7 p.m. and contacted the homeowner who confirmed Finlayson was inside. After securing the area around the residence, deputies made multiple attempts to communicate with Finlayson, telling him he was under arrest and to come out, but he refused. As negotiations continued, resources from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team responded and deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence.
Just before 10 p.m., Finlayson agreed to exit the residence and was taken into custody without incident. No other occupants were in the residence at that time and Finlayson was booked in to the Bonneville County Jail for the three outstanding warrants. Finlayson’s probation violations stemmed from prior convictions relating to eluding law enforcement and drug violations, further charges relating to this and last Friday’s incident are pending.
