Myron Cluff Evans, 89 of Idaho, died December 6, 2024, at his daughter Loana’s home. He was born July 9,1935,in Sugar City, Idaho to Edward Partington Evans and Sarah Otera Cluff. He was raised in Sugar City.

He married Lois Marilyn Camp on June 16,1961 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They lived in Rigby then Preston and in 1974 they moved to Hamer, Idaho, where he lived before moving in with his daughter, Loana in Utah in 2021 where he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary in the “Central Atlantic States” which consisted of North Carolina and parts of Virginia and West Virginia. He served in many capacities in the LDS church as well as his community. He served as Bishop in Preston, Idaho, Scoutmaster several times, Sunday School Teacher, Ward Mission Leader and many more. He loved working with the youth. He served as Platoon Sergeant in the National Guard in Houston, TX. He served as interim Mayor for two years in Hamer. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time at home with his family. He also enjoyed singing in choirs with his wife, Lois. He was a devoted father and grandfather and loved his family.

He is survived by his children; Teresa (Mark) Richardson, Michael (Leslie) Evans, Mark (Tammy) Evans, Wendy (David) Westover, Loana (Troy) Barker, David (Alie) Evans, Daniel (Aimee) Evans, Nathan (Carrie) Evans, and Samuel (Liz) Evans, 32 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, his wife Lois, granddaughter Lindy Evans, and grandson Curtis Evans.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14th at the Rigby LDS Church located at 4223 E. 528 Rd N., Rigby, ID with Bishop Ryan Ashcraft officiating. The family will receive family and friends Friday evening at this same church from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday prior to services from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home of Rexburg.
