REXBURG — “American Idol” Season 21 winner Iam Tongi has just released a heartwarming Christmas album and a music video featuring the Rexburg Children’s Choir, showcasing a special arrangement of Silent Night. Produced by 19 Productions and distributed by Sony, this marks Tongi’s latest addition to his Christmas repertoire since claiming the American Idol crown in 2023.
The Silent Night recording is part of a broader collaboration between Tongi, his management, and the Rexburg Children’s Choir, culminating in a sold-out Christmas concert on November 26 at the Madison Performing Arts Center in Rexburg, Idaho.
Supported by a choir of 100 young singers wearing matching Hawaiian shirts, Tongi delivered a soulful rendition of Silent Night, arranged by his music director and JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter Johnny Reid. The choir adaptation was crafted by Rexburg Children’s Choir director Ben Watson.
“We loved collaborating with Iam and his team for this inspiring production,” Watson said. “Silent Night is one of those timeless Christmas classics, and this version blends Iam’s soulful magic with the angelic, heartwarming sound only a children’s choir can deliver.”
Released just in time for the holiday season, the music video is available on Iam Tongi’s YouTube channel, and the song can be streamed on all major platforms.
