Debbie Ann Homer-Hofhines

Deborah Ann Homer-Hofhines, of Rexburg, Idaho, returned home to her Heavenly Father on December 14, 2024. Debbie was full of life and tenacity. This carried through to the end of her life and was felt even in her passing.

Debbie was born to Shirley Lee Brown and Darwin G. Pancheri on October 20, 1953 in Nampa, Idaho. Debbie seemed to come to this earth with a sewing machine in her hands. She spent her life devoted to her art and made everything around her beautiful with her amazing talent. The last 17 years she worked as a sewing educator and loved meeting beautiful friends all over the country through her work.

She spent most of her days devoted to creating and mastering machine embroidery techniques that she loved to share through education, videos, and through a book. Her talents and knowledge were inspiring to all who knew her.

Debbie grew up in Melba and Idaho Falls. She had a vivacious spirit and a work ethic that was hard to match that seemed to be created from her younger years helping on her father’s farm. She loved in her youth riding dirt bikes, racing snowmobiles, and loved the mountains. She loved to snow ski and taught lessons as a young adult. She loved water skiing, four-wheeling, camping and spending time at the family ranch with siblings and cousins in Cascade, Idaho. Debbie was fun and this was contagious to those around her.

Debbie loved her grandkids and in her later years loved spending time with them in the mountains on her side-by-side going on rides. Debbie faced challenges in life with a determined and resilient spirit. She loved her three children Jeremy, Jessica, and Beau, and her grandkids. They brought her joy in life.

Debbie was a devoted member to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities leading women and young women and loved serving in the temple. She was currently serving as a Relief Society instructor at the time of her passing and was loved by those she served and made beautiful friendships in her new ward.

Debbie is survived by her siblings Lonnie (Kathy) Pancheri; Rex (Shellie) Pancheri; Lori (Guy) Strayer; Kim (Angie) Ueda; Kurt (Christy) Pancheri; Dollie (Troy) Black; Nate (Kristin) Pancheri; Dixie (BJ) Parker; Cindy (Dave) Squires; son Jeremy Berntson of Caldwell, Idaho; daughter Jessica (Jake) Taylor of Billings, Montana; and son Beau (Jacquelyn) Stoddard of Rexburg, Idaho; and 7 grandchildren.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Ueda, father Darwin Pancheri, and her husband Brad Hofhines.

Funeral services will be held on December 21, 2024 at 11am and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 3985 W 2000 S Rexburg, Idaho 83440 with a family viewing starting at 10am. She will be buried at the Melba, Idaho Cemetery on December 23, 2024 at 1pm.
