School custodian breaks down sobbing after opening gift from a Secret Santa
Published atA local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.
Every day from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and today we are surprising a school janitor named Mike.
Mike has been a custodian at Hillcrest Elementary in American Falls for nearly 20 years. He loves his job, love the students and loves to help others.
Mike hasn’t seen his family in years because they live in Chicago and he’s been saving his money to get a knee replacement. Someone recently asked Mike what he plans to do for Christmas and he responded, “Nothing. It’s just like any other day. I don’t have family or anyone else here.”
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves if we could pay Mike a visit with an early Christmas gift. Check out the video in the player above!
