Nikolas Anthony Giovanno, 19, of Ammon, passed away December 19, 2024, from an accident while stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.

Nikolas was born September 9, 2005, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Anthony Fabretti Giovanno and Rachelle Marie Runnings Giovanno. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon and graduated from Hillcrest High School.

He was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed snowmobiling, snowboarding, 4-wheeling, playing the guitar, cruising in his truck, camping, and he loved animals. Nikolas especially loved spending time with his friends and family.

Nikolas is survived by his parents, Anthony and Rachelle Giovanno of Ammon, ID; brothers, Dominic Giovanno and Marcus Giovanno, both of Ammon, ID; grandmother, Jan Worrell of Ocean Park, WA; grandparents, Randy and Vicki Runnings of Idaho Falls, ID; and great grandmother, Geneva Butler of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Whiting; grandfather, Jack Worrell; great grandparents, Ward and Fran Runnings; and great grandfather, Ralph Butler, Jr.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Marine Corps Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Bonneville Humane Society.
