Brittni Johnson

Hi there! I’m Brittni Johnson. My dream has always been to be a reporter, and I am thrilled to be living my dream with EastIdahoNews.com.

I am from Utah, where I worked as the editor-in-chief at Salt Lake Community College’s Globe newspaper and as a sports editor at the University of Utah. I also completed internships at local news station ABC4 Utah and ESPN radio affiliate ESPN700 before being hired as a reporter/producer for ESPN.

I moved to Idaho in February 2018, and I fell in love with everything this state has to offer. Not only did I fall in love with Idaho, but also a good-looking firefighter named Kaleb. We were married in March 2019. Best decision ever! He and our cute Weimaraner puppy have my heart.

A couple other things to know about me is that I root for the Yankees — win or lose. (But obviously I prefer a win.) Yes, I’m still crying Derek Jeter is gone, and I may or may not watch his final at-bat every now and then. But what can ya do? Life must go on.

If you couldn’t tell, writing is my -- you guessed it! -- passion. Always has been, always will be. Besides writing, I enjoy reciting “Remember the Titans," love eating a good burger and listening to country music.

Thanks for taking time to stop by and read a little bit about me. I can’t wait to get to know you, neighbor!

P.S. Have a story idea? I’m all in. Let’s keep in touch. :)
