Allason Ford Smith
February 1st, 1943 - March 27th, 2025
Allason (Allie) Ford Smith passed away on March 27, 2025, in her home in Ammon, loved and surrounded by her family. She was born in Rexburg, ID, daughter of Ford Smith and Marjorie Bybee Smith.
Allie graduated from Madison High School. She was a talented artist and had many fond memories of her years there. She earned a Bachelor of Arts, Education from Idaho State University and enjoyed a long & successful career as a Title 1 specialist in Bonneville School District #93. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Allie loved riding her Harley and going for long car drives with her friends, family & cocker spaniel, Paco.
Allie and her high school sweetheart, Ted M. Hill had three children who are married (Beverly Hill van Joolen-Vincent van Joolen, Jeffery Hill – Marla Hobbs Hill, & Jacqueline (Jaci) Hill – Dean Moncur), seven grandchildren (Alaire Hill, Mekenzie Hill, Jordyn Hill, Adam Croft – Kristy Denning Croft, Nicholas Croft – Candace Mathews Croft, Skylar van Joolen, & Bronwyn van Joolen), two step-grandchildren (Jeanette Moncur Murphy – Derreck Murphy, & Lawson Moncur), five great-grandchildren (Kiara Croft, Joshua Croft, Andrew Croft, Raegan Croft & Brynley Croft ), and two step-great grandchildren (Macee Murphy & Kaupyr Murphy).
She later married S. Brent Strand, the love of her life, and they shared two children (Megan Strand Peck – Nate Peck, and Chris Strand), and one step-grandson (Zach Peck).
She is also survived by her brother (Holly Blue Smith – Carol Rae Smith), her niece (Rebecca Smith Sok – Rom Sok), grand-nieces (Cleo Smith & Lilly Smith) and her grand-nephews (Skyler Smith & Monte Blue Smith). Allie adored her family and loved visiting them at their homes all across the country.
Allie was preceded in death by her nephew, Nate Smith and step-granddaughter, Macee Moncur, and her husband, S. Brent Strand.
A graveside service will be held at Sutton Cemetery, Rexburg, ID, at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, by Eckersell Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer.
