Amle Lee Landon

Amle Lee Landon, 93, peacefully passed away at his home in Ririe Idaho surrounded by family on Friday, June 30, 2023. Amle was born on August 29, 1929 to Henry R. Landon and Althora Gene Martin in Kimball, Idaho.

Amle married Barbara Byington on March 15, 1950 in the Idaho falls Idaho Temple. They had 5 children; Sandra Lee Nelson, Ladean Kay Landon, Nancy Jean Moore, Kevin Lee Landon and Tracy Gene Landon.

Amle had a love and passion for farming. He continued that for his lifetime along with fixing anything he could get his hands on. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a Bishop, Counselor in bishoprics, Stake clerk, and in the Young men’s. He was an outside man. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, restoring trucks, and will never forget his love of farming.

Amle is proceeded by his parents Henry R. Landon and Althora Gene Martin Landon as well as Derwin, Irvin, Loma, Rola, Alden, Peggy, Rita, and Son Tracey Gene Landon. He is survived by his sweetheart Barbara Byington Landon; daughters Sandra Lee Nelson of Ririe, Idaho, Ladean Kay Landon of Grants Pass, Oregon, Nancy Jean Moore of Ririe, Idaho and son Kevin Lee Landon of Ririe, Idaho. Sisters Sharon Schultz of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Shannon Franck of Idaho Falls, Idaho. His brothers Verle Landon of Ammon, Idaho and Dennis Landon, 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. 

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11.00 am in the LDS Perry Building (285 2nd West Ririe, Idaho 83443) with a visitation prior to services from 9:30-10:45 am. Interment will be held at the Ririe Shelton Cemetery.
