Arron William Baxter, 78, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away at his home on December 9, 2023. He was under the care of Eden Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.

Arron was born April 14, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho, to John Samuel Baxter and Frieda Leora Madsen Baxter. He attended Riverside Elementary, Blackfoot Junior High, and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1963.

He attended First Baptist Church in Blackfoot where as a youth he was active in the choir and BYF youth group. Arron loved the Lord and had a personal relationship with Him. His relationship with the Lord got even stronger as he got older. He loved listening to the older gospel songs.

On October 2, 1965, Arron married Edra Jeanne Lyman in Blackfoot, Idaho, where they resided until 1971. They then moved to Idaho Falls where they have resided for the last 52 years. They had one son, John Clay, and two daughters, Deena Marie, and Andrea Dawn.

Arron joined the U.S Army Reserves in 1966 and served for 6 years. Arron was a Parts Man at several car dealerships before being hired by the Parts Department at the INL site, where he worked for 29 years. He was a self-taught mechanic and worked on cars for himself and others until his health issues prevented him from doing so. He was a jack of all trades and was able to successfully fix just about anything.

Arron loved woodworking, carpentry, working on his vintage car, going to garage sales, collecting die-cast cars, going to car shows, going to coffee with his friends, and spending time with his family. He also loved having two new members of the family, his precious cats, Mango and Marmalade, sitting on his lap for hours on end.

Arron will always be remembered for his smile and his joking, happy-go-lucky manner. Everyone loved and appreciated Arron for his caring and helpful ways. He was an easy to get to know guy and he left a favorable impression on everyone who had the honor of meeting him.

He is survived by his wife, Edra; son John, of Pocatello, Idaho; daughter, Andrea, of Plano, Texas; daughter, Deena (Rod) Teel, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; granddaughters, Hailey Teel, Sarah Baxter, Rachael Baxter; and sisters, Sherrie Henman and Kathy VanEps.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at The Blackfoot Christian Fellowship Church, 2550 Rose Road in Blackfoot. The services will be broadcast live at https://www.blackfootfellowship.org/

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
