Brandon Richard Orr passed away at home surrounded by family on December 22, 2023, at the age of 48, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Brandon was born on March 7, 1975, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Calvin Richard (Dick) Orr and Beverly Palmer. He was the oldest of four siblings, followed by Kristin, Denton Joseph (DJ), and Matthew.

Brandon grew up on the family farm in Plano, Idaho. Being your typical little boy, he enjoyed spending time outdoors helping on the farm, whether working in the field or helping with the animals.

After graduating from Sugar-Salem High School in 1993, Brandon worked various jobs in the area. He eventually decided to move to Utah to attend massage therapy school. After graduating from massage school, he moved to Pocatello, Idaho, for a short time. Brandon became adventurous and decided to move to Roseville, California. Missing the mountains and home, he didn’t stay long before heading back to Pocatello, Idaho.

In 2014, Brandon moved back to the family farm in Plano, where he resided until his passing. Brandon developed a deep appreciation for farm life, finding peace and solace at the farm.

Brandon is survived by his father, Calvin Richard (Dick) Orr (Linda) of Archer, Idaho; mother Beverly Palmer of Sugar City, Idaho; sister Kristin Laird (Adam) of Teton, Idaho; Denton Joseph(DJ) Orr (Sara) of Newdale, Idaho and Matthew Orr (Maddie) of Plano, Idaho—as well as nieces and nephews.

Brandon was preceded in death by grandparents Sylvan & Curtie Orr, Glenus and LaDean Palmer, and aunts and uncles.

On behalf of the Orr family, we express our love and appreciation to those who loved, supported, and cared for Brandon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Plano Ward LDS Church 5973 N 5000 W, Rexburg, Idaho. There will be a visitation at the Ward building on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and again on Saturday from 10 am to 10:45 am. Interment will follow in the Plano Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would graciously appreciate donations being made to offset funeral expenses. Donations can be made directly to the funeral home by following the link on this obituary.
